## Synopsis

Born on Saturday (Σαββατογεννημένες, 2003-2004) is a Greek television comedy created by Giorgos Kapoutzidis for Mega TV. Savvas, a party-loving womanizer played by Sakis Boulas, wins 7.5 million euros on the Joker lottery, then crashes his car on the way to claim it and wakes in hospital with total amnesia. The only people who know about the win are his three ex-wives, Kaiti, Bia and Soula, played by Katiana Balanika, Eleni Randou and Rania Schiza, who have their own reasons to want the ticket for themselves. The engine of the series is a tug of war: the women scheme, chase and sabotage one another while Savvas, unable to remember where he hid the ticket, stumbles through a life he no longer recognizes. Each episode builds on mistaken identities, cramped apartment farce and escalating bargains. Contemporary Athens provides the backdrop for a single-season run of thirty-three episodes, a complete comedy with a clear arc. The tone is breezy, cheeky and warm, with a sardonic edge toward a man who abandoned his family. Fans of How I Met Your Mother and Married... with Children will find familiar pleasures in its battle of the sexes, rivalry and comic reversals.
