## Synopsis

Hubert ohne Staller (2011-present) is a German comedic crime series created by Oliver Mielke and Philip Kaetner, produced by Tele München for ATV and Das Erste. Franz Hubert (Christian Tramitz) and Johannes Staller (Helmfried von Lüttichau) are two Bavarian police officers whose working styles collide: Franz insists on regulations while Johannes prefers to handle cases his own way. Their partnership drives the show, supported by colleagues including Reimund Girwidz (Michael Brandner), Sabine Kaiser (Katharina Müller-Elmau) and Dr. Caroline Fuchs (Susu Padotzke). Each episode is built around a local criminal investigation that lets the leads bicker, bend the rules and stumble toward a solution in a relaxed, idyllic provincial setting. The series runs to thirteen seasons and nearly two hundred episodes, following one continuing ensemble across many years. Its tone is light, sociable and wry, with a cozy regional flavour and a steady warmth between its mismatched detectives. Fans of Der Alte, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Death in Paradise will find similar pleasures in its blend of crime plotting and character comedy.
