## Synopsis

Love (2016-2018) is an American adult romantic comedy created by Judd Apatow, Paul Rust and Lesley Arfin for Netflix. Mickey Dobbs (Gillian Jacobs) is a rebellious, self-sabotaging woman whose life is tangled in addiction and bad decisions, and Gus Cruikshank (Paul Rust) is her good-natured, earnest counterpart. Their on-off relationship is the engine of the show: each season tests whether two very different people can stay together while their careers, friendships and private habits keep pulling them apart. Episodes unfold as loose, dialogue-driven vignettes of dating, parties, awkward encounters and mismatched expectations around Los Angeles, with Claudia O'Doherty as Bertie Bauer and Chris Witaske as Chris Czajkowski providing sharp friend-circle comedy. Across three seasons and thirty-four episodes, the series mixes raunchy humor with real tenderness, its tone irreverent, witty and frank yet romantic at heart. Its frank, observational style will appeal to viewers who enjoy Girls, Master of None and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and fans of unvarnished millennial romcoms will find its blend of comedy and heartbreak familiar.
