## Synopsis

Los heroes del norte (2010-2015) is a Mexican musical comedy-drama series created by Gustavo Loza for Televisa. Five strangers who have never met are thrown together and form a band in Mexico, and the show follows their misadventures as they chase a sound, a stage and a shot at being heard. Don Hassan (Joaquin Cosio) looms over the group as a memorable figure whose antics keep the story moving. Across three seasons and 52 hour-long episodes, the series builds each installment around a fresh scrape, rehearsal disaster or gig, while the friendships slowly harden into something like family. The tone is warm and breezy, with comic set pieces that give way to quieter moments of loyalty, money worries and self-doubt. Set in contemporary urban Mexico, the show runs on the mix of rowdy humor and sincere heart that viewers associate with ensemble music comedies. It is a comfortable, family-friendly watch with a lively soundtrack, and fans of Flight of the Conchords and Glee will find kinship in its playful musical spirit, while the road-trip camaraderie echoes Almost Famous.
