## Synopsis

Devil Survivor 2: The Animation (2013) is a Japanese anime action fantasy series created by Atlus and broadcast on MBS. Following a thirteen-episode single season, it follows Hibiki Kuze, voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya and Ami Koshimizu, who is caught in the crossfire when otherworldly invaders called the Septentriones arrive to wipe out humanity. Alongside friends including Io Nitta (Aya Uchida) and Daichi Shijima (Nobuhiko Okamoto), Hibiki signs contracts with demons to become a Devil Summoner. Their abilities draw the attention of JP's, an underground agency led by Yamato Houtsuin (Junichi Suwabe), and the young recruits are pulled into missions that unfold day by day as another invader strikes Japan each night. The engine is survival under pressure: the teens must defeat each threat before the night ends, even as lives are lost along the way. Set in a contemporary Japanese city under siege, the series carries a grim, urgent tone, with bonds of loyalty forged in crisis and a steady sense of dread. Its episodes are built around battles with demons and invaders, giving it a video game flavor drawn from the Megami Tensei franchise. Fans of Shin Megami Tensei, Fate/Zero and Btooom! will find resonance in its supernatural combat, teenage camaraderie and apocalyptic stakes.
