## Synopsis

Mobile Cop Jiban (1989-1990) is a Japanese tokusatsu superhero series produced by Toei Company for TV Asahi. Detective Naoto Tamura, played by Shouhei Kusaka, becomes the armored robotic hero Jiban whenever justice demands it, racing to stop the sinister Bioron and his plans to conquer the world. Alongside him, Mayumi Igarashi (Konomi Mashita) and Youko Katagiri (Michiko Enokida) support his investigations, while Kiyoshirou Muramatsu (Kunio Konishi) and Seiichi Yanagida (Akira Ishihama) anchor the police side of the story. The engine of each episode is the cycle of crime, investigation, and eventual confrontation, with the hero's transformation and battles against Bioron's robotic henchmen providing the spectacle. Told as a single season of fifty-two episodes, the show is a standalone, episodic metal hero adventure with a cohesive villain thread rather than a slow serial. Its look is bright and theatrical, with bold costumes and staged fight sequences typical of the era. The tone is earnest, cheerful, and heroic, aimed at young viewers who love transforming heroes. Fans of Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, and the Metal Hero Series will find the same kind of kinetic, morally clear fun here.
