## Synopsis

Max Steel (2000-2002) is an American animated superhero series created by Greg Weisman and Jeff Kline for The WB and Cartoon Network. Teenager Josh McGrath (voiced by Christian Campbell) gains accidental body enhancements that turn him into Max Steel, a super-powered secret agent working to stop the enemies of peace. Chi McBride voices Jefferson Smith, Jacob Vargas voices Dr. Roberto Martinez, and Debi Mae West voices Kat Ryan, while Martin Jarvis voices the villain John Dread. The engine of the show is a double life: Josh must keep his powers secret while confronting dangerous threats and handling ordinary adolescent pressures. Each episode delivers a self-contained action mission built around gadgets, hi-tech suits and clashes with rival operatives, and the story gradually builds across three seasons of thirty-five episodes. Its tone is brisk, earnest and colorful, with a sincere, adventurous energy aimed squarely at young viewers. Fans of Ben 10, Teen Titans and Young Justice will find a similar blend of young heroes, gadget-driven action and secret organizations.
