## Synopsis

Percy tårar (1996) is a Swedish sketch comedy series created for SVT1 and built as a single six-episode season of half-hour episodes. Its engine is a set of mostly unrelated storylines that unfold in segments within each episode, so the viewer keeps shifting between loosely connected characters rather than following one central plot. Johan Rheborg plays Percy Nilegård along with several other personas, Jonas Inde takes the roles of Tommy Bohlin and Hardy Nilsson, Robert Gustafsson appears as Kapten Klänning, and Henrik Schyffert plays Christer Fuglesang, all working within a shared ensemble. Stand-alone sketches punctuate the segments and expand on minor characters, giving each episode a patchwork rhythm. The register is playful, absurd and deadpan, with the comic energy coming from character quirks and sudden shifts of scene more than from any single joke structure. Fans of Monty Python's Flying Circus and the broader tradition of sketch comedy will find resonance in its episodic, character-driven silliness. Its setting is contemporary Sweden in the mid-1990s, and it remains a compact, self-contained piece of Scandinavian television comedy.
