## Synopsis

The Company (2007) is a US spy thriller miniseries created by Mikael Salomon for TNT, a single three-episode run built as a serialized espionage drama. Chris O'Donnell plays Jack McAuliffe, a CIA operative whose loyalties are tested as he navigates a double life, while Michael Keaton brings a brooding presence as the counterintelligence chief James Jesus Angleton. Tom Hollander appears as the British intelligence figure Adrian Philby, and Rory Cochrane rounds out the principal cast. The engine of the story is a hunt for a shadowy, amoral adversary that keeps turning inward, so every operation risks exposing the agents to their own colleagues. Each episode is long and unhurried, built from surveillance, interrogation and quiet betrayals rather than spectacle. Set in the Cold War era of the United States and Europe, the series carries a paranoid, morally gray atmosphere that suits viewers who enjoy the tradition of le carre style intrigue. Fans of The Americans, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and The Night Manager will find resonance in its layered loyalties and sustained tension.
