## Synopsis

King & Maxwell (2013) is a American crime drama series created by Shane Brennan for TNT. Jon Tenney stars as Sean King, a charming former Secret Service agent, alongside Rebecca Romijn as Michelle Maxwell, a fearless partner who shares his discredited past. Together they run a private detective agency in Washington D.C., taking cases that official law enforcement cannot or will not handle. Their engine is simple and concrete: each case pulls them into the corridors of power, where their insider knowledge of protection work and surveillance gives them an edge over suspects and conventional investigators. Ryan Hurst and Michael O'Keefe appear among the principal supporting cast. The series runs as a single ten-episode season with a self-contained case in most installments, giving it the shape of a limited procedural rather than a serialized saga. Its tone is brisk and breezy, with sparring banter between the leads softening the harder edges of the crime material. Fans of Burn Notice and Castle will find a similar appeal in its witty partnership, competent heroes, and polished, network-friendly private investigation storytelling set against the political backdrop of the nation's capital.
