## Synopsis

iCarly (2007-2012) is a United States Nickelodeon sitcom created by Dan Schneider for Nickelodeon. Miranda Cosgrove plays eighth grader Carly Shay, who shares a large Seattle loft with her older brother, a pop artist played by Jerry Trainor. Her best friends Sam Puckett (Jennette McCurdy) and Freddie Benson (Nathan Kress) help her broadcast a homemade internet show from her living room, and that show's growing fame keeps pulling the trio away from ordinary school life. Each episode is a self-contained comedy built from pranks, schemes, and mishaps that spiral when the web show gets involved, with the household and its surrogate family of friends at the center. The six-season run is a fast, lightweight, family-friendly sitcom with broad slapstick, quick banter, and a warm, cozy atmosphere. It belongs to the Nickelodeon sitcom tradition that also gave us Drake and Josh and Zoey 101, and fans of those shows and of Sam and Cat will find the same youthful energy and friendship-driven humor here. The tone stays gentle throughout, making it an easy, approachable watch for younger viewers and the adults watching alongside them.
