## Synopsis

Khawater (2005-2015) is a Saudi documentary series created by Ahmad Al Shugairi for MBC 1. Across eleven seasons and roughly 331 episodes, each about six minutes long, presenter Ahmad Al Shugairi speaks directly to the camera in short reflective monologues. Each episode takes a single habit, social custom or ethical question and examines it through a concrete everyday example, then widens the lens with observations drawn from other countries and cultures. The engine of the series is the presenter's wish to nudge viewers toward better habits, more thoughtful conduct and greater engagement with their communities, without lecturing at length. Because every segment stands alone, the show works as a daily dose rather than a continuing story, and it is shaped by a steady, unhurried rhythm. The tone is sincere, warm and hopeful, with a quiet insistence on personal responsibility. Arabic-language viewers will recognise it as a landmark of Gulf region television, and fans of Super Soul Sunday and Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey will find a kindred appetite for reflective, presenter led nonfiction that treats big ideas through small human moments.
