## Synopsis

Once Upon a Time... The Discoverers (1994-1995) is a French animated educational series created by Albert Barillé for Canal+. Its guiding figure, a mentor called Maestro voiced by Roger Carel, leads a group of young explorers and inventors through humanity's great innovations, from early flashes of genius to curious experiments that changed how people live. Each episode is a self-contained vignette built around a discovery and the characters who chase it, so the series plays more like a sequence of lively lessons than a continuing plot. Its single season of 26 episodes, each about twenty-six minutes long, follows the same warm, playful structure throughout. The animation is gentle and colorful, and the atmosphere is curious, hopeful and cozy, with a strong sense of wonder at ingenuity. Viewers who enjoy educational cartoons, history of invention, and family-friendly science storytelling will find this a charming, unhurried watch. Fans of Once Upon a Time... Life, Once Upon a Time... Space and The Magic School Bus will find real resonance in its blend of animation and instruction.
