## Synopsis

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland (2013-2014) is a US fantasy drama series created by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz for ABC, a spin off of the fairy tale series Once Upon a Time. In Victorian England, the young and beautiful Alice (Sophie Lowe) is locked away by doctors who believe her tales of a strange land beyond a rabbit hole are madness. Rescued by the roguish Knave of Hearts (Michael Socha) and the White Rabbit (voiced by John Lithgow), she is drawn back into Wonderland, where nothing is impossible and familiar nursery characters have turned dangerous. Alice's engine is her search for the truth about her own mind while she hunts for a way to stay free and return home, with each episode weaving quests, schemes and magical bargains across a thirteen episode single season. The mood is whimsical yet darkly romantic, with a storybook sheen and a current of peril beneath the fantasy. Set in a fanciful realm rooted in 19th century England, it blends playful reinterpretation with serialized adventure. Fans of Once Upon a Time, Alice in Wonderland and Penny Dreadful will find resonance in its blend of fairy tale wonder and gothic unease.
