## Synopsis

MasterChef Junior (2013-present) is an American reality cooking competition series created for FOX, a spin-off of the adult MasterChef format built around children. Talented young cooks between the ages of 8 and 13 face a run of demanding culinary challenges, with each episode testing their technique, creativity and nerve in the kitchen. Celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay, Aarón Sánchez, Joe Bastianich, Graham Elliot, Christina Tosi and Daphne Oz judge and mentor the hopefuls, teaching them the tricks of the trade and encouraging them to cook like professionals. The engine of the show is the steady elimination of contestants until a single young chef is crowned, and the tension comes from watching small hands handle high-pressure service. The series runs across nine seasons and 105 episodes, structured as a case-by-case competition rather than a continuing story. Its tone is warm, encouraging and wholesome, with a hopeful, family-friendly atmosphere. Fans of MasterChef, Top Chef Junior and Kids Baking Championship will find the same mix of culinary skill, rivalry and mentorship.
