## Synopsis

Dungeons and Dragons (1983-1985) is an American animated fantasy series created by Kevin Paul Coates and Dennis Marks for CBS. Six friends, Hank, Eric, Presto, Bobby, Sheila and Diana, are pulled into the Dungeons and Dragons realm and must find a way back home, guided by a mysterious Dungeon Master (voiced by Sidney Miller). Their quest is built from episode-length encounters with dragons, barbarians, wizards, thieves and rangers, along with the lurking villain Venger (Peter Cullen) and the gentle unicorn Uni (Frank Welker). Willie Aames and Don Most voice two of the lead teenagers, and the cast includes Adam Rich as Presto. Each episode is a self-contained adventure rather than a single continuing mystery, and the series runs across three seasons and twenty-seven episodes. Produced in the Saturday morning tradition of the era, it has a wholesome, lighthearted tone with an inviting sense of wonder and an earnest, nostalgic warmth. Fans of Thundercats, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and The Smurfs will find resonance in its colorful fantasy worlds and kid-friendly heroism. Viewers remember its theme tune fondly, and it suits family viewing and nostalgic rewatching.
