## Synopsis

Trophy Wife (2013-2014) is an American network family sitcom created by Sarah Haskins and Emily Halpern for ABC. Malin Akerman plays Kate Harrison, a reformed party girl who becomes the third wife of Pete Harrison, played by Bradley Whitford, after they meet at a karaoke bar. Their household is crowded with three stepchildren, Warren, Hillary and Bert, played by Ryan Lee, Bailee Madison and Albert Tsai, plus two ex-wives, Jackie Fisher (Michaela Watkins) and Meg Gomez (Natalie Morales). Kate's engine is simple and stubborn: she wants to belong to this instant family no matter how awkward each dinner, school pickup or ex-wife visit becomes. Episodes are built from domestic mishaps and small social battles that play out in a single season of 22 episodes. The tone is breezy, warm and cozy, with a glossy suburban look and light comic bite. Fans of Modern Family, The Brady Bunch and Suburgatory will find a similar mix of blended household chaos and affectionate family humor.
