## Synopsis

The Crazy Ones (2013-2014) is an American network workplace sitcom created by David E. Kelley for CBS. Robin Williams plays Simon Roberts, an eccentric, passionate and unpredictable adman who co-runs Lewis, Roberts + Roberts with his pragmatic daughter Sydney, played by Sarah Michelle Gellar. Their agency is a constant battleground: Sydney struggles to rein in her father's wild schemes while the firm fights to stay at the top of the advertising world. James Wolk plays Zach Cropper, and Hamish Linklater plays Andrew, filling out the ensemble of creative staffers. Each episode follows a new pitch, charming high-profile clients from fast food giants to luxury lingerie brands, so the comedy comes from ad campaigns, boardroom bluster and the clash of personalities in a bright Manhattan office. The series runs for a single season of twenty-two episodes of roughly twenty minutes each, with a brisk, playful rhythm. Its tone is breezy and warm, with a light, cheerful sense of ambition and affection beneath the chaos. Fans of Ally McBeal, 30 Rock and The Office will find a similar pleasure in offbeat office antics and sharp workplace banter.
