## Synopsis

Nunca te olvidaré (1999) is a Mexican telenovela created by Caridad Bravo Adams and produced by Juan Osorio for Televisa on Las Estrellas. Edith González plays Esperanza Gamboa Martel, a woman whose love for Fernando Colunga's Luis Gustavo Uribe del Valle is tested by the scheming interests of his family and rivals. Eugenia Cauduro's Silvia Requena Ortiz and Humberto Elizondo's Fermín Requena add pressure from another side, while Alma Muriel's Consuelo Del Valle de Uribe works against the union. The engine of the series is a steady accumulation of obstacles, misunderstandings and reversals that keep two lovers apart across a single run of 94 episodes of about 45 minutes each. Each chapter is built around confrontations in lavish homes, whispered plots and tearful reconciliations, with the melodrama carried by long emotional scenes. Set in a contemporary Mexican milieu of wealth, class and family honor, the series is a classic soap of romance and betrayal. Its tone is sincere, sentimental and heightened, and its theme is the endurance of love against memory loss and manipulation. Fans of Betty la fea, Rosalinda and Marimar will find resonance in its blend of rivalry and romance.
