## Synopsis

Better Call Saul (2015-2022) is an American prestige crime drama series created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould for AMC. Bob Odenkirk plays small-time lawyer Jimmy McGill, a hustler scraping by in Albuquerque who is searching for his place in the world and slowly becoming the man who will be known as Saul Goodman. Jonathan Banks plays fixer Mike Ehrmantraut, who works alongside and often against him, while Michael McKean plays Jimmy's brother Chuck, a respected attorney whose rivalry with Jimmy strains the family. Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler and Giancarlo Esposito as Gus Fring round out the principal cast. Across six seasons and sixty-three episodes the show unfolds as one continuous serialized story, with each episode built from small cases, petty schemes and rising stakes that gradually pull Jimmy toward the criminal underworld. Set in the American Southwest, it moves at a measured pace, favoring silence, long composed shots and symbolic low-key lighting over explosive set pieces. The tone is darkly comic, melancholic and tense, and its themes of moral drift, ambition and family resentment make it a natural pick for viewers who love the slow-burn character study of Breaking Bad, and fans of Justified and Ozark will find similar resonance in its neo-western crime atmosphere.
