## Synopsis

Star Wars Rebels (2014-2018) is an American animated space opera series created by Simon Kinberg, Dave Filoni and Carrie Beck for Disney XD. Set between the events of Star Wars: Episodes III and IV, it follows a ragtag crew aboard the starship Ghost, led by cowboy Jedi Kanan Jarrus (voiced by Freddie Prinze Jr.) and ace pilot Hera Syndulla (voiced by Vanessa Marshall). Street-smart teenager Ezra Bridger (voiced by Taylor Gray) is the newest recruit, and the crew also includes warrior firebrand Sabine Wren (voiced by Tiya Sircar), the muscular Zeb (voiced by Steve Blum) and the cantankerous astromech droid Chopper. Their engine is simple and vivid: they must stay one step ahead of imperial forces who occupy remote planets and grind down their people, and each episode delivers a sabotage mission, a bounty hunt or a chase across a new world. Across four seasons it builds into a serialized saga with menacing new villains, most notably Agent Kallus (voiced by David Oyelowo) and The Grand Inquisitor (voiced by Jason Isaacs). The tone balances rousing adventure, wry banter and wistful hope, with a classic western swagger grafted onto a galaxy far away. Fans of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Avatar: The Last Airbender and Star Wars: The Bad Batch will find resonance here.
