## Synopsis

The Color of Passion (El color de la pasión, 2014) is a Mexican telenovela created by María del Carmen Peña and Cuauhtémoc Blanco for Las Estrellas, produced by Televisa. Rebeca Murillo (Claudia Ramírez) kills her sister Adriana so she can be with the man she loved, and she then becomes the stepmother of her niece Lucía (Esmeralda Pimentel). Her own daughter Nora (Ximena Romo) resents Lucía for the same reasons Rebeca once hated Adriana, so the old rivalry repeats within the household. The story runs as a single 122-episode run, a classic serialized soap built from family confrontations, jealousy, secrets and romantic entanglements. Alonso Gaxiola (René Strickler), Marcelo Escalante (Erick Elías) and Milagros Fuentes (Helena Rojo) are among the principal figures whose loyalties shift across the episodes. The tone is melodramatic and intense, with heightened emotions, romantic longing and a sense of guilt that lingers over the family. Viewers who enjoy La Usurpadora, Rubí and Yo soy Betty, la fea will recognize the same blend of heightened passion, moral compromise and generational grudges.
