## Synopsis

Sirens (2014-2015) is an American workplace comedy created by Denis Leary and Bob Fisher for USA Network. Set in present-day Chicago, it follows a trio of emergency medical technicians whose narcissism and self-destructive habits make them unlikely heroes, yet who prove uniquely qualified to save lives on the city's streets. Michael Mosley plays Johnny Farrell, Kevin Daniels plays Hank St. Clare, and Kevin Bigley plays Brian Czyk, with Jessica McNamee as Theresa Kelly and Bill Nunn as Cash rounding out the crew. The engine of the show is the friction between the crew's bad behavior and the urgent, often grim calls they answer, as each episode juggles bickering, bravado and emergency runs. The series spans two seasons across twenty-three episodes of roughly twenty-two minutes each, and it leans on crude, irreverent banter and sardonic humor. Its tone is brash and breezy, with dark edges that give the laughs a gallows-humor bite. Fans of Rescue Me, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Community will find resonance in its flawed workplace ensemble and sharp, irreverent rhythm.
