## Synopsis

Bad Judge (2014-2015) is an American network sitcom created by Anne Heche for NBC. Kate Walsh stars as Rebecca Wright, a tough-as-nails judge on the Los Angeles County Circuit Court whose off-hours are spent partying and courting reckless behavior. Her carefully managed reputation is thrown into disarray when Robby Shoemaker, an eight-year-old boy whose parents she put behind bars, arrives in her orbit and may be the one person capable of turning her life around. Tedward Mulray (Tone Bell) and Dr. Gary Boyd (Ryan Hansen) fill out the supporting cast, with Miguel Sandoval appearing as Judge Hernandez among the courthouse colleagues. The series runs for a single season of thirteen half-hour episodes, each built from the friction between Rebecca's courtroom authority and the mess she makes away from the bench. Its workplace comedy rhythm leans on quick exchanges, awkward family-adjacent situations and the comedic collision between legal dignity and personal excess. The mood is brash, irreverent and breezy, with a sardonic edge that undercuts the courthouse setting. Fans of Night Court, Ally McBeal and Suits will find a similar blend of legal-world absurdity and a flawed professional at the center of the comedy.
