## Synopsis

Dragonar Academy (2014) is a Japanese anime fantasy comedy series produced by C-Station and aired on AT-X, adapted from a light novel. Its protagonist is Ash Blake (voiced by Kouji Takahashi), a first-year student at Ansarivan Dragonar Academy who is known by classmates as the number one problem child, despite the fact that most of his peers find riding and taming dragons easy. Principal characters include Silvia Lautreamont (Ayane Sakura), Rebecca Randall (Marina Inoue), and Eco (Mariya Ise), whose lives are tangled with his in a school where dragons are bred and branded from birth. The engine of the show is the classroom grind of training, rivalry and clumsy bonding with a dragon partner, as Ash tries to prove he belongs among the best riders. The single twelve-episode season moves briskly through episodic school-life situations, with a fan-service streak adding playful, cheeky energy. Set in a fantasy realm of dragon-breeding society, it offers a bright, lighthearted register with a touch of adolescent awkwardness. Fans of Rosario + Vampire, How to Train Your Dragon and Date A Live will find resonance in its blend of creature companionship, academy setting and comedic romance.
