## Synopsis

Riddle Story of Devil (2014) is a Japanese animated action romance series adapted from a manga and produced by diomedéa for MBS. Haru Ichinose is the target of Class Black, the tenth grade at Myōjō Academy, where all twelve students are assassins in disguise. Her goal is simple and grim: survive the attempts on her life and graduate alive. Tokaku Azuma, voiced by Ayaka Suwa, is one of those assassins, but she has begun to fall for Haru and switches sides to become her protector. Haru is voiced by Hisako Kanemoto, and Nio Hashiri (Yoshino Nanjo) and Isuke Inukai (Azumi Asakura) join the rotating threat of classmates who come after her. Each episode plays out as a fresh attempt in a classroom and school grounds that are never safe, mixing sharp action set pieces with quieter moments of trust and attraction between the two leads. The single twelve-episode season builds a tense, sometimes darkly comic atmosphere, with the romance supplying warmth against the constant danger. Viewers who enjoy Assassination Classroom and other gl-tinged high school anime will find the same blend of teen school life and lethal stakes here. The series runs twelve episodes and wraps its season with a bittersweet, self-contained register.
