## Synopsis

The Messengers (2015) is a American network supernatural drama series created by Eoghan O'Donnell for The CW. Strangers who seem to have nothing in common are struck by an energy pulse when a mysterious object crashes to Earth, then awaken with powers and a mission: stop an impending Apocalypse. Diogo Morgado plays the enigmatic figure known only as The Man, who guides a reluctant group including Joel Courtney as Peter Moore, Shantel VanSanten as Vera Buckley and Sofia Black-D'Elia as Erin Calder. Across a single thirteen-episode season, each hour moves the group through urgent, investigative set pieces as they learn what they are and who they can trust. The tone is moody and apocalyptic, with a mystery-driven pull and an undercurrent of dread. Its biblical prophecy framing and found-family bonds recall Supernatural and Legion, appealing to viewers who enjoy serialized mythology with a human core. The series was canceled, leaving its larger story unfinished.
