## Synopsis

Young & Hungry (2014-2018) is an American family-friendly romantic comedy sitcom created by David Holden for ABC Family and later Freeform. Gabi Diamond (Emily Osment), a feisty food blogger, is desperate to prove herself as the personal chef of wealthy tech entrepreneur Josh Kaminski (Jonathan Sadowski), while Josh's aide Elliot Park (Rex Lee) doubts her at every turn. Her best friend Sofia Rodriguez (Aimee Carrero) and the sharp-tongued housekeeper Yolanda (Kym Whitley) supply the advice and meddling that keep her afloat. The engine is simple: every dinner, party and client demand becomes a test of whether Gabi can turn an awkward position into a job and maybe a little love. Across five seasons the show runs as a continuing sitcom, with its episodes built from kitchen disasters, Los Angeles social climbing and small romantic misunderstandings. The tone is breezy, cozy and upbeat, with a selfie-era confidence that never quite dulls the warmth. Fans of How I Met Your Mother and Two Broke Girls will find the same mix of ensemble banter and romantic tension, and the lighthearted pacing suits an easy evening watch.
