## Synopsis

Paradise City (2021) is an American supernatural music drama series created by Ash Avildsen for Prime Video. Its single eight-episode season, around forty minutes an episode, follows Johnny Faust (Andy Biersack), the singer of a controversial rock band whose ties to the occult cast a long shadow over the group. He and the close-knit crew around him, including Maya (Drea de Matteo) and Vic Lakota (Booboo Stewart), try to keep their west coast family together while the industry grinds against them and a haunting secret arrives in the form of a young groupie, Lily Mayflower (Bella Thorne). Their paths intertwine with an east coast rookie, Leo Donovan (Ben Bruce), who idolizes the band and hustles to make his way as the ultimate underdog. The show is built from nights in clubs, tense backstage confrontations, studio sessions and tour-bus loyalties, with the pull of the occult running beneath each scene. Its tone is gritty, hedonistic and melancholic, with flashes of dark humor and a restless energy that mirrors rock life. Fans of Vinyl, Supernatural and music-world dramas with a supernatural edge will find resonance here, and the story is left open-ended at the close of its only season.
