## Synopsis

Running Wild with Bear Grylls (2014-2021) is an American reality adventure series created by Delbert Shoopman for NBC and National Geographic. Survivalist Bear Grylls serves as host and guide, leading a rotating roster of celebrity guests, including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Keri Russell, Lena Headey, Don Cheadle, Zac Efron and Ben Stiller, into remote wilderness locations around the world. Each episode builds around a single journey in which the visiting star must rely on Grylls's instruction, improvised shelter, navigation and endurance to finish the trek. The engine is simple: a famous person with little experience against harsh terrain and their own limits. Across six seasons and fifty-one episodes, the format stays consistent, with each outing functioning as a self-contained adventure. The tone is upbeat and encouraging, mixing physical strain with humor and camaraderie as guests reveal unexpected resilience. Fans of Survivor, The Amazing Race and Stars Earn Stripes will find a similar blend of competition, scenery and celebrity vulnerability.
