## Synopsis

Finding Carter (2014-2015) is an American teen drama created by Emily Silver for MTV. Kathryn Prescott plays Carter Stevens, a teenager who discovers she was abducted as a toddler and must move into the household of her biological parents, Elizabeth Wilson (Cynthia Watros) and David Wilson (Alexis Denisof). Her restless anger and sense of displacement collide with the Wilson siblings, Taylor (Anna Jacoby-Heron), Grant (Zac Pullam) and Max (Alex Saxon), who have their own resentments about the newcomer. Each episode unpacks the awkward daily frictions of a family rebuilding trust around a stranger who may not want to be part of it. The engine of the show is the push and pull between Carter's wish to belong somewhere real and the long shadow of the kidnapping that still shapes everyone's choices. Across two seasons and thirty-six episodes, the series keeps the focus on school hallways, kitchen arguments and the emotional fallout of a stolen childhood. The tone is raw and sincere, with moments of quiet heartbreak and a bristling teen edge. Fans of Switched at Birth, Pretty Little Liars and The Lost Girl will find resonance in its blend of family melodrama and identity mystery.
