## Synopsis

Aldnoah.Zero (2014-2015) is a Japanese anime science fiction series produced by TROYCA and A-1 Pictures for Tokyo MX and its affiliated stations. Set in an alternate 1970s where the Apollo 17 mission uncovers a hypergate to Mars, the story follows Inaho Kaizuka (Natsuki Hanae) and Slaine Troyard (Kensho Ono) as a war between Earth and Mars erupts. Martian soldiers descend from the sky piloting steel giant mecha, intent on wiping out humanity. Princess Asseylum Vers Allusia (Sora Amamiya) sits at the center of the political maneuvering, and the characters are caught between royal ambition, military strategy and personal loyalties. The engine of the series is a tense cat and mouse of battlefield tactics, shifting alliances and hidden agendas, with each episode built around clashing mecha engagements and command decisions. Presented as a single 24-episode season, it is a tightly serialized space war drama with a sweeping, grim tone and a melancholic sense of colonial grievance. Its mix of giant robot spectacle and political scheming will appeal to fans of Code Geass and Mobile Suit Gundam, and to anyone wanting a serious, unforgiving take on interplanetary conflict.
