## Synopsis

A to Z is a 2014-2015 American romantic comedy series created by Ben Queen for NBC, running a single thirteen-episode season before its cancellation. Ben Feldman plays Andrew, an employee at an internet dating site who dreams of meeting the girl of his dreams, while Cristin Milioti plays Zelda, a no-nonsense lawyer raised by a hippie mother who carries a rebellious streak. Their engine is a chance collision: Zelda is called in to resolve a mismatch dating dispute, and the two single professionals find themselves unexpectedly falling for each other. Each half-hour episode is built around the friction of their opposite temperaments, the awkward mechanics of modern dating, and the wider circle of friends and co-workers around them, including Henry Zebrowski as Stu and Lenora Crichlow as Stephie. Narrated with a wry voiceover from Katey Sagal, the show moves through the familiar rhythms of a meet cute stretched across a season, with a breezy, warm, and lightly sardonic register. Its single-camera, contemporary New York style gives it the feel of a modern network sitcom. Fans of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, How I Met Your Mother, and When Harry Met Sally will find resonance in its blend of banter, romantic tension, and the comedy of looking for love in the online age.
