## Synopsis

Pokémon Origins (2013) is a Japanese animated miniseries produced by Production I.G, OLM, XEBEC and The Pokémon Company, airing on TV Tokyo and affiliated stations. Its four short episodes follow a young trainer named Red (voiced by Junko Takeuchi) as he travels through the Kanto region, collecting and training Pokémon while clashing with the criminal organization Team Rocket. His rival Green (Takuya Eguchi) and the reserved Takeshi (Tomokazu Sugita) push him to grow, while the wise Old Man Fuji (Minoru Inaba) and the enigmatic Sakaki (Rikiya Koyama) add mystery to the road. Each episode is built around a concrete encounter, a battle, or a confrontation with a rival, moving steadily toward Red's challenge of the Pokémon League. The tone is earnest, bright and adventurous, with a warm sense of youthful rivalry and friendship. Set in the familiar landscapes of the Kanto region, it plays like a compact origin tale for fans of the franchise. Viewers who enjoy Pokémon, Pokémon Journeys and Digimon Adventure will find the same kid friendly monster journey, rendered in a shorter and more focused form.
