## Synopsis

Terror in Resonance (2014) is a Japanese animated crime mystery series created for Fuji TV and produced by the studio MAPPA. Set in an alternate version of the present day Tokyo, the story opens after a devastating terrorist attack whose only clue is a bizarre video uploaded to the internet. Detectives struggle to find a mastermind while public paranoia spreads through the city. Two mysterious children, called Nine and Twelve, move unseen through this world, and their covert plan becomes the engine of the series, pulling viewers between the police hunt and the protagonists' calculated moves. Voice performances by Kaito Ishikawa as Nine and Soma Saito as Twelve anchor the duo, while Atsumi Tanezaki and Shunsuke Sakuya voice the investigators whose work drives the search. Each episode turns on a new clue, reveal, or shift in suspicion, forming one compact eleven-episode arc rather than a case-of-the-week format. The result is a tense, cerebral and morally uneasy story with a cold atmosphere, a sharp sense of dread, and an unsettling social mood. Fans of Death Note, Psycho-Pass and Monster will find resonance in its blend of conspiracy, moral ambiguity and clever cat-and-mouse plotting.
