## Synopsis

Cross Ange: Rondo of Angels and Dragons (2014-2015) is a Japanese animated mecha fantasy series produced by SUNRISE and broadcast across several networks including MBS and TOKYO MX. Nana Mizuki voices Angelise Ikaruga Mitsuragi, a privileged princess of a technology-driven empire who discovers she is a Norma, a person unable to use the Mana power that sustains society, and is exiled to an isolated island. There she bonds with other outcasts, including the pilot Tusk voiced by Mamoru Miyano, and must learn to ride Para-mail humanoid weapons. Each episode pairs aerial combat against dragons from another dimension with political maneuvering and personal struggle, building toward a season-long arc across the 25-episode run. The engine of the story is Angelise's need to reclaim her identity and place while confronting a rigid class system built on Mana. The tone mixes heroic spectacle with melancholy, class resentment, and moments of intimacy. Its single season is a complete serialized saga. Fans of Code Geass, Gurren Lagann and Aldnoah.Zero will find resonance in its blend of mecha action, outcast heroes and a stratified world. Its mix of robot battles and social critique gives it a distinct identity among anime of its era.
