## Synopsis

Kardeş Payı (2014-2015) is a Turkish family comedy-drama series created by Selçuk Aydemir for Star TV. Brothers Metin Özdemir (Ahmet Kural) and Ali Özdemir (Murat Cemcir) run a plumbing company together, alongside their sister Feyza Özdemir (Seda Bakan), and the household's rhythms revolve around a shared dream of inventing something that would make the world a better place. The engine of the show is the tension between that big idealistic ambition and the grinding, small-scale realities of repairing pipes and paying bills, so each episode tends to be built from workplace mishaps, family squabbles and the brothers' attempts at a breakthrough. Principal supporting figures, including Şinasi Yurtsever as Hilmi Kazmıkçı, Ayşe Kökçü as Hamiyet Özdemir and Ali İhsan Varol as Yiğit Tokerli, add to the crowded domestic ensemble. The series ran for two seasons across thirty-five hour-long episodes before it was canceled. Its tone is warm, scrappy and sincere, with gentle humor softening the sibling rivalry and a lingering hopefulness about ordinary people's inventive spirit. Fans of Malcolm in the Middle and Roseanne will find resonance in its chaotic household comedy and working class heart.
