## Synopsis

Our Girl (2014-2020) is a British military drama series created by Tony Grounds for BBC One. Following Georgie Lane (Michelle Keegan), a young medic in the British Army, the series tracks her and fellow medics Molly Dawes (Lacey Turner) and Maisie Richards (Shalom Brune-Franklin) as they treat wounded soldiers and navigate the pressures of deployment. Alongside them, Elvis Harte (Luke Pasqualino) and Captain James (Ben Aldridge) represent the male soldiers and officers whose lives intersect with the medics. Each episode is built from the demands of field medicine, shifting postings and the stress of separation from home, so the drama hinges on what each woman must sacrifice to keep serving. The show runs across four seasons and twenty-eight hour-long episodes, following one continuing story rather than standalone cases. Set against the Afghanistan war, its tone is intense, emotional and grounded, with moments of camaraderie and humour that soften its harrowing violence. Fans of Band of Brothers, M*A*S*H and The Bridge will find resonance in its blend of frontline danger, military friendship and female perspective.
