## Synopsis

Cumbia Ninja (2013-2015) is a Colombian national-television genre mashup series created by Andrés Gelós for Fox Latin America. Young idealist Sebastián "Hache" Acuña (Ricardo Abarca) leads his friends against the drug dealers who control La Colina, a major slum. Their weapons are music, an old Chinese ninja master named Xiang Wu (Víctor Jiménez) and a mythical figure who also lives in the neighborhood. Alongside Hache's crew, Juana, played by Brenda Asnicar, takes shelter in the barrio while fleeing her family's assassins, so the story braids a neighborhood uprising with a runaway's survival plot. Each episode mixes crime-story stakes with martial arts action, slapstick comedy and fantastical turns, giving the series a loose, irreverent energy. Across three seasons and forty-five hour-long episodes, the tone shifts between playful and grim, grounding its fantasy in the hardships of slum life. Its blend of cumbia rhythms, neighborhood loyalty and kung fu spectacle will appeal to fans of Sense8, Daredevil and Narcos who want crime drama with a bold, unusual flavor. The series wraps up as a finished, bittersweet story.
