## Synopsis

Remember Me (2014) is a British three-part miniseries created by Gwyneth Hughes for BBC One. Michael Palin plays Tom Parfitt, a retiree who fakes an injury to escape a monotonous life and checks into a care home on the English seashore. Jodie Comer plays Hannah Ward, and Mark Addy plays Rob Fairholme, both drawn into the strange happenings that unsettle the staff and residents after Tom arrives. Mina Anwar plays Roshana Salim, another caregiver whose routine is disrupted as the unexplained events mount and a murder shakes the home. The engine of the story is Tom's restlessness set against a community that is quietly stalled, with each hour uncovering small secrets, a mysterious photograph, and unsettling incidents that never fully explain themselves. Across three episodes it moves at a measured pace, building an ambiguous haunting atmosphere that is eerie and melancholic rather than gory. Its tones are wistful, eerie and contemplative, and its themes turn on aging, regret and the desire to escape ordinary life. Fans of The Others, Broadchurch and Ghosts will find resonance in its slow dread, coastal isolation and British character-driven mystery.
