## Synopsis

Sense8 (2015-2018) is a Netflix science fiction drama created by Lana Wachowski, Lilly Wachowski and J. Michael Straczynski. Eight strangers scattered across Chicago, Nairobi, Seoul, Mexico City, Berlin, Mumbai, London and San Francisco are suddenly linked through a shared mental connection after a violent moment that reshapes their lives. Each must hide these new abilities from a shadowy organization that treats their kind as a threat, while learning to share bodies, skills and secrets across continents. The engine is simple and urgent: protect one another while living ordinary lives under pressure. The series runs as a two-season serialized story, with each episode built from intercut threads in different cities. Its tone is warm, sensual and expansive, with an emphasis on humanity, identity and acceptance. Atmosphere comes from its globe-hopping locations and lush visual style. Fans of genre drama will find resonance in its mix of mystery, ensemble drama and sci-fi wonder.
