## Synopsis

American Odyssey (2015) is a United States network action thriller created by Adam Armus, Peter Horton and Nora Kay Foster for NBC. Framed as a Traffic-like drama, it follows three strangers whose lives unexpectedly collide when an international conspiracy erupts. Anna Friel plays Odelle Ballard, a female soldier drawn into the fallout, alongside Peter Facinelli as Peter Decker and Jake Robinson as Harrison Walters, whose paths intersect with hers as the stakes climb. The engine of the series is the push and pull between individuals trying to protect what they love and the powerful forces hiding behind government and corporate walls. Each episode builds tension through shifting viewpoints, covert operations and moral compromise, with the thread of the conspiracy tightening across a single thirteen-episode season. Its tone is tense and propulsive, with a paranoid edge and a cynical view of institutional power. Fans of Traffic, Quantico and Berlin Station will find resonance in its interlocking plots, global reach and serialized suspense. The series was canceled before its central mystery could be fully resolved, leaving its story open-ended for viewers who enjoy restless, character-driven political thrillers.
