## Synopsis

Goosebumps (1995-1998) is a Canadian children's horror anthology series created by R.L. Stine for FOX, YTV and Fox Kids, running four seasons and seventy-four episodes. Adapted from the best-selling books of the master of kid horror, each stand-alone half-hour story follows regular young people who wander into a spooky situation, whether a strange neighbor, a cursed object, or a creature hiding in plain sight. The engine is simple and playful: a frightened kid must work out what is happening and find the courage to confront it and overcome the threat. Because every episode resets with new characters and a new scare, the show plays as a parade of self-contained tales rather than one continuing arc. Its tone mixes eerie suspense with goofy, cartoonish humor and a Halloween flavor, giving young viewers thrills that stay safely playful. Surreal touches and paranormal phenomena keep each story uncanny, and the good-versus-evil moral thread stays clear. Fans of Are You Afraid of the Dark? and The Twilight Zone will find similar kid-sized spookiness here, along with a nostalgic 1990s youth-TV feel that suits family viewing and easy scares.
