## Synopsis

Alaskan Bush People (2014-2022) is an American family reality series broadcast on Discovery, following Billy Brown, his wife Ami, and their seven grown children, Matt, Joshua "Bam", Gabe, Solomon "Bear", Noah, Bird and Rain. The Browns, who refer to themselves as a wolf pack, live deep in the Alaskan wilderness and go months at a time without seeing outsiders, developing their own accent and dialect. The series follows the daily work of building, hunting, foraging and surviving in the bush, with the family's self-reliance at the center of each episode. A narrator frames the family's story across fourteen seasons and 142 episodes, and an ongoing thread concerns the family's struggle with authorities after their long-standing cabin was seized and burned for being on public land. The tone is warm and rugged, with a sense of close-knit loyalty and an unvarnished view of frontier life. Fans of Life Below Zero, Mountain Men and 19 Kids and Counting will find resonance in its unscripted look at a family living apart from modern society. The series runs at a relaxed pace, with the wilderness itself as the main setting.
