## Synopsis

Medcezir (2013-2015) is a Turkish romantic drama series created by Ece Yörenç and broadcast on Star TV. Çağatay Ulusoy plays Yaman Koper, a hardworking young man from the Istanbul suburb of Tozludere whose clean record is tainted when he is jailed with his brother after a reckless car theft. Serenay Sarıkaya plays Mira Beylice, and Barış Falay plays the wealthy lawyer Selim Serez, whose world sits far above Yaman's. The engine of the series is the push and pull between a poor man trying to rebuild a respectable life and the rich family circles that keep pulling him back toward desire and danger. Each episode is built around romantic entanglements, family rivalries, and the social barriers that keep the lovers apart. It runs across two seasons and seventy-seven episodes, following one continuing story. The tone is sudsy, emotional, and heartfelt, with glamorous settings and a steady flow of longing and betrayal. Fans of Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne? and Gossip Girl will find familiar pleasures in its class-crossing romance and soap-opera intensity.
