## Synopsis

Bloodline (2015-2017) is an American family thriller series created by Glenn Kessler, Daniel Zelman and Todd A. Kessler for Netflix. Set in contemporary Florida Keys, it follows the Rayburn family, hard-working pillars of their island community, whose hotel business anchors their standing. Kyle Chandler plays patriarch John Rayburn, while Ben Mendelsohn plays Danny, the black sheep son whose return for the hotel's 45th anniversary threatens to expose the family's dark secrets and shameful past. Linda Cardellini plays Meg Rayburn, and Norbert Leo Butz plays Kevin, whose loyalties are tested as each sibling is pushed toward the limits of family devotion. The engine is simple and corrosive: every reunion dinner and business decision becomes a negotiation over what can stay hidden. The series runs three seasons, told as one continuing story across a slow burn of mounting tension rather than a case of the week. Its tone is suspenseful and psychological, with a sun-bleached, humid atmosphere that makes the dread feel intimate and inescapable. Fans of Ozark, Succession and Big Little Lies will find resonance in its portrait of wealthy respectability cracking under the weight of old crimes and fierce family loyalty.
