## Synopsis

Scream Queens (2015-2016) is an American horror comedy whistle-smart serialized whodunit created by Ryan Murphy, Ian Brennan, Dante Di Loreto and Brad Falchuk for FOX. Set on a fictional American university campus, it follows the rival sorority house led by the spiteful Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts), whose pledge class is thinned by a masked killer. Emma Roberts anchors the chaos alongside Lea Michele as the scheming Hester Ulrich, Jamie Lee Curtis as the stern Dean Cathy Munsch, and Glen Powell as the charming Chad Radwell. Across two seasons of ten to thirteen episodes, the engine is a restless question of who is behind the mask, with each episode built around a fresh kill, a set of red herrings, and a rush of social rivalry. The tone is campy, glossy and self-aware, with slasher conventions mocked and played straight at once. Fans of Scream, Heathers and American Horror Story will find resonance in its satirical bite, its vivid ensemble and its gleeful gore. Its one-liner premise is best understood as a lively, sharp-tongued puzzle that rewards attention to the cast's mischief and the campus's cruelty.
