## Synopsis

Jordskott (2015-2017) is a Swedish national-television nordic noir mystery series created by Henrik Björn for SVT1. Detective Inspector Eva Thörnblad (Moa Gammel) returns to the small town of Silver Height seven years after her daughter Josefine vanished by a lake in the woods, a disappearance never resolved because no body was ever found. When a boy goes missing without a trace, she begins to suspect a connection to her daughter's case, while also being pulled into the legacy of her father, the powerful entrepreneur Johan Thörnblad (Lars-Erik Berenett), whose timber empire rests on the forest his ancestors owned. Investigators Göran Wass (Göran Ragnerstam) and Tom Aronsson (Richard Forsgren) help push the inquiry forward as more children are taken. Across two seasons and eighteen episodes, the show moves from a grounded police procedural into something stranger and more sinister with each installment. Its tone is brooding, eerie and grief-soaked, with the dark woods and the weight of family secrets carrying much of the atmosphere. Viewers who enjoy Forbrydelsen and the unsettling small town dread of Twin Peaks will find a similar pull here.
