## Synopsis

The Seven Deadly Sins (2014-2021) is a Japanese anime fantasy adventure series created for television, produced by A-1 Pictures and Studio Deen and built on the manga adaptation tradition of shonen storytelling. Set in the invented kingdom of Britannia, it follows Princess Elizabeth, whose father was murdered when the Holy Knights seized the throne, as she sets out to find the legendary Seven Deadly Sins, a band of disgraced knights rumored to still be alive. Meliodas (voiced by Yuki Kaji) is the mischievous leader of the group, and his teammates Ban (Tatsuhisa Suzuki) and Diane (Aoi Yuuki) bring their own histories and rivalries to the fight. Across four seasons and ninety-six episodes, the engine is simple: a reluctant princess must win the trust of fugitives who have reasons to stay hidden, while every battle pulls the group closer to a corrupt holy order. The show balances rowdy camaraderie and comic banter with dark, bloody duels, flashbacks that reveal old betrayals, and magical powers drawn from myth. Its tone is adventurous and irreverent yet melancholic at its core. Fans of Fairy Tail, Black Clover and Attack on Titan will find resonance in its blend of quest structure, fantasy action and outcast heroes.
