## Synopsis

Angry Mom (2015) is a South Korean comedy drama series created for MBC, a 16-episode single-season run with a full hour per episode. Kim Hee-seon plays Jo Kang Ja, a once notorious high school fighter who had her daughter young and grew into a responsible mother. When her daughter Oh Ah Ran (Kim You-jung) is bullied at school, Jo Kang Ja re-enrolls as a student to protect her, becoming a classmate among teenagers and clashing with the school's cliques and the tormentors who target her child. Ji Hyun-woo plays Park Noh Ah, and Im Hyung-jun plays Oh Jin Sang among the supporting cast. The engine is a grown woman forced to navigate teen politics, fists and humiliations while trying to keep her daughter safe and her own adult life intact. Each episode is built around a new bullying incident and a retaliation that escalates the stakes. The tone blends breezy comedy with sincere, cathartic moments about family devotion. Set in contemporary South Korea among high school hallways, it is a satisfying series for fans of Mother and Lovely Runner who enjoy underdog justice wrapped in warm family drama.
